GRAND SURI SILK - baby suri alpaca and silk (pre-order)
Availability within 2 weeks max on pre-order
Softness, volume, halo
GRAND SURI SILK is an incredibly soft and airy yarn, made of 74% Baby Suri Alpaca and 26% mulberry silk.
With its generous and silky halo, it is a magnificent alternative to mohair. The Baby Suri provides softness, warmth, and a fluffy effect, while the silk adds finesse and luminosity.
Thicker than PETIT SURI SILK, GRAND SURI SILK has more body while retaining that characteristic lightness of fluffy yarns. It can be knitted alone to create a light and enveloping fabric, or held with another yarn to add volume, softness, and halo.

New colors and quantities are added regularly.
My opinion : GRAND SURI SILK is ideal if you love the airy effect of PETIT SURI but are looking for a thicker and more generous yarn. Once knitted, it develops a delicate halo and a particularly soft texture.
Good to know : this base reacts uniquely to dyeing: the colors may have a softer, watercolor effect, and the speckles tend to diffuse more. This is a characteristic of this base and not a flaw.
