Construction details(s)

SEAMLESS (from top to bottom and back):

This ATHEN cardigan stands out for its precise and versatile construction. The base is knitted in lace stitch at the ends back and forth, with progressive increases to perfectly shape the armholes. The back is knitted in one piece, before picking up stitches one by one at the shoulders to form the front in stockinette stitch and lace stitch, incorporating increases for an elegant V-neckline. Once joined at the back, the body continues in semi-twisted 1/1 ribbing, while a decorative band in semi-twisted 1/1 ribbing is worked around the armholes and inner edges, ensuring a refined and technical finish.

WITH SEAM (flat, from bottom to top back and forth):

Designed with a back in semi-twisted 1/1 rib followed by stockinette stitch and lace stitch, it incorporates precise decreases at the armholes for a perfect fit. The half-fronts combine stockinette stitch and lace, sculpting an elegant V-neck with targeted decreases. Two fancy stitch bands placed under the armholes provide a refined finish, while the assembly with invisible seams ensures a clean silhouette. Finally, the stitches are picked up at the armholes to knit fancy 1/1 rib, ensuring an elegant and structured finish. Similarly, the neckband is knitted in this same stitch, incorporating cleverly placed buttonholes, with buttons sewn opposite each other for a perfect fit and refined style. This creation combines technicality and aesthetics, ideal for experienced knitters looking for a garment that is both sophisticated and comfortable.
