    • This is undoubtedly the most elegant, most feminine pattern in my wardrobe. It’s a real technical feat.
    • Fluid and addictive, this cardigan is a jewel to knit
    • I learned new techniques and it fits perfectly. It’s very rare for me to be satisfied with a product that falls directly from my hands.

Construction details(s)

SEAMLESS (from top to bottom round trip):

The Athen Sweater Sleeved is the little brother of the sleeveless Athen Cardigan. It is knitted using two threads held together: a FINGERING thread and a LACE thread. These threads are joined together to create a delicate blend of merino, mohair and silk. You will start by knitting the stitches, knit the back in stockinette and lace stitch at the ends, round-trip with short rows to form the shoulder bias. Then you will gradually increase to shape the armholes. Once the back is finished, it will be put on hold. You will select stitches one by one for each shoulder to make the front, also in stocking and lace stitch, while incorporating increases for the "V" neckline. You will chase the front up to the armholes, and directly join the back to each front to continue round-trip all the way down the body, which will be in 1/1 semi-torso ribs. You will pick up stitches around the armholes to shape the top of the jersey sleeve with a lace stitch on the top and using short rows, then continue decreasing until the ribs form the same finish as the bottom of the body. Finally, you will pick up stitches along the neck of the vest and work on a fancy 1/1 semi-twisted rib band.
